Why Need to Renew CIDB Green Card?

The CIDB green card renewal process involves several important steps:

  • Old CIDB green card (original or copy)

How long is the processing time?

Temporary pass will be sent via email within 3-4 working days after complete documents are submitted. Note: Since December 2023, physical cards are no longer printed - digital passes are used instead.

What happens if the card is lost?

If the card is lost, you need to make a police report and apply for a replacement card. The process is the same as renewal but with additional documents.

Can I renew an expired card?

Yes, expired cards can be renewed. However, there are additional penalties for cards that have expired for more than 6 months.

Do I need to retake courses?

For regular renewals, no retraining is required. However, if the card has expired for more than 10 years, you need to retake the SICW course before you can renew.

What happens if the application is rejected due to incomplete documents?

If the application is rejected due to incomplete documents, a new payment is required to resubmit the application.

If you choose not to proceed and request a refund, a RM10 Management Fee will be deducted from the payment amount. The remaining balance will be returned to you.
