CIDB Green Card Replacement Fees

Replacement fees vary according to the frequency of card replacement applications:

First Replacement

RM 120

  • • First time card lost/damaged

Second Replacement

RM 240

Requirements and Conditions

To apply for CIDB Green Card replacement, several requirements must be met:

1. Basic Eligibility

  • Active data in CIDB system - Worker information still exists in database
  • Validity period not exceeding 3 months - Original card still valid or not more than 3 months expired
  • No disciplinary issues - No problems or restrictions from CIDB

2. Required Documents

Local Workers

  • • Copy of IC (front and back)
  • • Passport-size photos (2 pieces)
  • • Application form (we provide)
  • • Proof of fee payment
  • • Old card (if available - for damaged card)

Foreign Workers

  • • Copy of passport (all pages with content)
  • • Valid work permit
  • • Passport-size photos (2 pieces)

Special Situations

Card Expired More Than 10 Years

If your card has expired for more than 10 years, you need to take the SICW course again before you can apply for replacement card. This is a CIDB requirement to ensure workers receive the latest safety training.

Inactive Data

If your data does not exist or is inactive in the CIDB system, you need to apply as a new registration rather than card replacement.

Severely Damaged Card

For severely damaged and unreadable cards, bring the old card for verification process. CIDB needs to verify the authenticity of the card before issuing a replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need to make a police report if my card is lost?

No longer required. CIDB has abolished the requirement for police reports for lost cards starting from the current year. You only need to fill out the replacement application form.

Can I work with a temporary card?

Yes, the temporary card issued by CIDB is valid and can be used to work at construction sites until the new card is ready.

What if my card is lost repeatedly?

CIDB imposes increasingly higher fees for each replacement. Third and subsequent replacements are charged RM 360 and there may be additional monitoring.

How long will the replacement card be valid?

The replacement card will have the same validity period as your original card. If the original card is still within the validity period, the replacement card will be valid until the same date.

Can I replace someone else's card?

No. Card replacement application can only be made by the card owner themselves or an authorized representative with power of attorney and supporting documents.
