What is Contractor License Grade Upgrade?

Grade upgrade allows contractor companies to increase their project value limit for tendering. For example, a G3 contractor upgrading to G5 can tender for projects up to RM5 million compared to RM1 million before.

The upgrade process requires companies to meet the same criteria as new registration for the target grade, including minimum paid-up capital, technical qualifications, and SCORE certificate (if required).

Important Notes

  • Application must be made before 120 days of PPK Certificate expiry
  • Certificate expiry date does not change after upgrade
  • If certificate has <120 days remaining, renew first before upgrading

Eligibility Check
